Lisa L. Eget

1967 - 2021

EGET, Lisa L., of Richmond, formerly of Newport News, departed this life Wednesday, September 1, 2021. She is survived by her devoted husband of 23 years, Lawrence "Larry" Eget; her daughter, Abigail Eget; her son, Reed Eget; her parents, John F. DePerro and Linda DePerro; a brother, David DePerro; a sister, Amy Moreno (Blas); her mother-in-law, Kathleen "Kitty" Eget; two brothers-in-law, Donald Eget (Angie) and Vince Eget (Elena); a sister-in-law, Terri Champ (Patrick); and many nieces, nephews and friends. Lisa was a talented singer who shared her beautiful voice with her family and friends at many functions. She was the family photographer and always managed to get special pictures of her family to be treasured always. Her highest education was a master's in corporate communications from Ithaca College in beautiful Ithaca, N.Y. Lisa worked as a technical writer and SOX compliance officer for many companies across the area, including INRI (now Logicon), UDRT, Philip Morris and Keiter-Stephens. For several years Lisa was a member of the local Toastmasters club, where she held various leadership positions and achieved many awards. She was a highly involved member of the community, a loving wife and a great mother. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 7, 2021, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy., Mechanicsville, Va. 23111. They will also greet guests from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2021, before the funeral service which will begin promptly at 11 a.m.
