Lucy Annie Richardson Leggett

Lucy Annie Richardson Leggett, 67, of Richmond, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, teacher and friend, died Sunday, August 31, 2003. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 46 years, W. Preston Leggett of Richmond; four children, Bob Leggett of Riverside, Calif., Richard Leggett and his wife, Angela of Roanoke, Va., Elaine Leggett Esposito and her husband, Mike of Ashland, Va. and Charles Leggett of Killeen, Texas; nine grandchildren, Robert, Grace and Cheri Leggett, David, Rebecca and Amy Leggett, Bert, Britteny Howerton and Ellen Esposito; two brothers, Maurice Richardson and wife, Nancy of Morehead City, N.C., Billy Wayne Richardson and his wife, April, of Ft. Myers, Fla.; two sisters-in-law, Betty Jo Richardson of Rock Hill, S.C. and Cecile Richardson of Fayetteville, N.C.; a cherished cousin, Shirley Martin of Loris, S.C.; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and adopted children beyond count. Mrs. Leggett was a member of Bon Air Baptist Church and a retired math teacher at Clover Hill High School. Her family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday (today) at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd. A private graveside service will be held at Dale Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Bon Air Baptist Church.
