Marion Haskell Hairfield Jr.

HAIRFIELD, Marion Haskell Jr., 77, passed away on March 25, 2023. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda J. Hairfield; his mother-in-law, Diane M. Jenkins; and his nephew, Michael Enroughty. He is survived by his daughter, Marian H. Wright (Billy); his son, Matthew W. Hairfield (Vanessa); his granddaughter, Katherine L. Rainey (David); his great-granddaughter, Kimberly L. Rainey; his sister-in-law, Candy Enroughty (Phil); nephew, Joe Enroughty; his brothers, Michael and Milo Hairfield; half-brother, Charlie Harris; and a host of nieces and nephews. He retired from the Virginia Army National Guard as a Master Sergeant and loved playing golf for the past 35 years at Fort Lee. To all his golf buddies, you made his life fun and to Kenny Smith, the family wishes to thank you for offering your guidance during this difficult time. The family also wishes to thank the nurses and staff on CTU at Chippenham Medical Center, especially Sam Nelson, Danielle Fernandez, Nicole Vickers, Carmen Claud and MSTICU nurse, Sarah Scoles for the care and love they showed him. It will not be forgotten. Thank you to Crater Community Hospice, especially Susan McGee, for all your support. A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, April 3, at Christ Ascension Episcopal Church, 1704 W. Laburnum Avenue. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crater Community Hospice.
