December 19, 1943 - December 3, 2025
Martha Ellen Burton Bivins, 81, of Mechanicsville, Va., passed away December 3, 2025, just two weeks shy of her 82nd birthday. Martha was a devoted follower of Christ, so we can be assured that her next birthday will be spent in His presence.
Martha is survived by her son, Brad Bivins (Conde); her three grandchildren, Eric Bivins (Ashley), Alex Bivins (Colby) and Kaylee Landry (Daniel); five great-grandchildren, Donavan, Sydney, E.J, Katara and Boden. She is also survived by devoted caregivers, Violet and Dawn of "The Haven"; a devoted sister, Ann Carter; three brothers, Buck Burton (Judy), John Burton (Margie) and Mike Burton (Pam); a brother-in-law, Floyd Philbates; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 10th, at Vincent Funeral Home, 417 11th St., West Point, Va. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., just prior to the funeral service. Interment will take place in Old Church Methodist Church Cemetery. Tributes may be posted at www.vincentfh.com.
