Martha Jane Snow Weisenfels

WEISENFELS, Martha Jane Snow, of Chesterfield, Va., passed away May 7, 2021 surrounded by her family. Jane led a beautiful life filled with love for her family and friends and left this earth too soon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Freida Snow of Memphis, Tenn. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Charles "Chip" Weisenfels; her daughters, Jane Kristen Thornbrugh and Kasey Hammond and their husbands, Jon Thornbrugh and Ken Hammond. She was a loving "Mimi" and adored her three grandchildren, Hayden Jane Thornbrugh, Ian Richard Thornbrugh and Karsen Jane Hammond.

She graduated from Messick High School in Memphis in 1962 and then went on to get her degree in English from Memphis State University (now University of Memphis). She worked as a flight attendant for American Airlines and from there, she was brave enough to teach middle school English for several years before staying home and raising her daughters. As a military wife, she lived in many places, made many friends and celebrated life everywhere she went. She will be very missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.
