Mary V. Jones

JONES, Mrs. Mary V., age 83, of Henrico, departed this life February 11, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, Myrl Jones Sr.; and one son, Steven Michael Jones. She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Jones; four sons, Earl, Robert (Stella), Myrl Jr. and Daniel Jones; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter; three sisters, Mildred Wood, Alberta Taylor and Evelyn Wood; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one sister-in-law, Betty Wood; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where Mrs. Jones can be viewed Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, 12 noon at Quioccasin Baptist Church, 9011 Quioccasin Road, where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. Theodore Brown (pastor). Interment Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Family and friends assemble at the church 11:45 a.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in her name to Quioccasin Baptist Church.
