Mary Reid Obituary
Mary Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Jodie Woodrow Baldwin and Mary Farson Baldwin of Danville, VA and her infant brother, Jodie Llewellyn Baldwin.
As a nurse at Virginia Baptist and St. Mary's Hospitals, Mary Jo's compassion and care touched many lives. She was devoted to her family, especially her precious children and grandchildren, and tenderly cared for her mother for the last decade of her life.
Mary Jo leaves behind husband, Boyce George Reid of Midlothian; children, Susan Reid Chadduck (Michael) of Spokane, WA; Christopher Boyce Reid (Lynn) of Midlothian; and grandchildren, Matthew Harrison Chadduck, Benjamin Reid Chadduck, and Jonathan Michael Chadduck, all of Spokane, WA, also James Allan Reid and Ruby Anne Reid of Midlothian.
The family extends their gratitude to all the dedicated nurses and staff at The Women's Cancer and Wellness Institute, The Women's Center at Johnston-Willis, Enhabit/Encompass Home Health, and James River Hospice.
Services will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Heritage Funeral Service 427 Graves Mill Road in Lynchburg, VA; visitation at 11 a.m. until service time with interment to follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Mary Jo's name to the VCU Massey Cancer Center.

Words can not express how saddened I am by the loss of Mary Jo. She was my roommate during our Jr and Senior yrs at VBH and remained a friend to this day. I am so very saddened that she has left us but I´ll always cherish my many memories. Prayers for you and your lovely family.
