Born December 4, 1928, departed this life peacefully on December 16, 2025, leaving a legacy of faith, family and service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Leonard Wright; her parents, Harvey and Margaret (Mina) Throne. Four brothers, Newton Jake, Merle J., James A. and Elmer L.; four sisters, Edna "Lucille," Loretta Bernice, Lettye M. and Lydie M. She was also predeceased by Benjamin J. Lambert IV, her grandson in-law, whom she enjoyed a very special relationship with for many years. She is survived by her dedicated daughter, Elaine Wright, who faithfully cared for her, for many years, daughter, Frances Greenway (Gerald); her loving granddaughter, Mary Lambert; her cherished great-grandchildren, Melania Elaine Lambert and Benjamin J. Lambert V; nieces, nephews and many friends.
A private viewing will be held for the family at Blileys Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 28, at 4 p.m., at the Greenwood Kingdom Hall 2737 Hungary Spring Rd Richmond VA 23294. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider making a contribution to The Lambert Prostate Cancer Foundation (501c3).
