Matthew Moore Obituary

MOORE, Matthew "Matt" Alan, 27, of Glen Allen, Va., born December 6, 1993, was taken from us unexpectedly on June 27, 2021. Matthew was a 2012 graduate of JR Tucker High School. He continued on to pursue a career in the HVAC industry, where he found his home and excelled at Carroll Plumbing and Heating. Matthew's passions were hunting and fishing and in his spare time you could usually find him in the woods or on the water catching that big bass. His smile was infectious, always lending a helping hand and making sure everyone had a smile everyday was his greatest joy.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, William "Bill" T. Jewell and Richard (Dickey) Ellwood Moore. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth (Lisa) Jewell Moore; father, Marvin Earl Moore; brothers, Mark W. Moore and John R. Moore; grandmother, Nancy S. Jewell; best friend, Ryan; and numerous extend family members.

A private memorial was held Tuesday, July 6, 2021. A celebration of his life for extended family and friends will be held at a later date.

Matthew will continue to bring happiness to others through the donation of his organs. Contributions may be made to LifeNet Health Foundation in Matthew's honor: www.lifenethealth.org/get-involved/lifenet-health-foundation/make-financial-contribution.

I remember when Matt told me he was giving his father one of his kidneys. I didn´t know Matt well but what little I did know spoke volumes of his caring and life sharing nature. Matt made an impression on me despite not being close that will stay with me. Thank you Matt.

I was just informed of Matt's passing and it saddens me very much. I knew him as my HVAC serviceman. Matt exuded professionalism when he was working on my mechanical system. Always treated me very fair. From the little I knew him I can say that losing Matt has made the world a lesser place. RIP Matt.
