Maya Ingram Obituary

Maya Monet Ingram of Midlothian, Virginia was born on February 19, 2002. She immediately brought joy to the hearts of all she encountered. As she grew, she became known for her sweet demeanor, her bold presence, her joyous smile, her engaging appeal, her contagious laughter and simply as one of the happiest little girls anyone knew. When God chose Maya for this world, He ushered joy where there was sadness, light where there was darkness, peace where there was confusion, unity throughout the family and love for all to enjoy. God, in his infinite wisdom, decided to retire His angel from her service to the world on Saturday, December 11, 2004. Maya was loved by so many. She is survived by her parents, Earska Jr. and Rositta Beaver-Ingram; paternal grandparents, Earska Sr. and Gwen Ingram, maternal grandmother, Joyce Beaver; great-grandmothers, Virgie "Big Ma" Beaver and Hazel Ingram and a host of other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Chiles Funeral Home, 2100 Fairmont Avenue. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2004 at 1 p.m., Cedar Street Baptist Church of God, Dr. Benjamin Robertson officiating. Interment immediately following at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Rositta,

I can never ever express the words to say how sorry I am that Maya is not with you. You both shared everything. Rositta you are strong and I know that as the days go by, things will get easier. When you're feeling down and out, I want you to remember all of the good times you two shared. Remember that she is in a far better place enjoying that eternal life that we all wish to achieve.

I never got the chance to know Maya or see all of the wonderful things that I have heard. I feel that one day as we all leave this earth one by one, I will have that opportunity of truly meeting one of God's most joyous little angels.

Maya, I know that your mother and father will greatly miss you but there will be a time in another place where everyone will rejoice again.

I will always be here for you and your family. LOVE AND PEACE!!!!!

GODS FLOWER GARDEN

It's hard to lose the ones we love,

To see them pass away:

The sweetest and the kindest gone,

While others are left to stay.

But if we had a garden

With roses fair and bright,

We'd often pick the loveliest

And think it to be just right.

And so it is with Jesus

In his heavenly garden here:

He often picks the fairest flower,

The one we love so dear.

The flowers picked by him

Will never fade away;

We know they'll live forever

And we'll see them some sweet day.

With Our Deepest Sympathy,

The A-K Class of 1985

Today I was going to the store, I was caught in traffic at a street on Meadowbridge by a funeral possession. I sat there and watched many, many cars pass by and I thought, someone has gone and it's obvious they were well loved. Then, in front of me passed a horse drawn carriage with a little tiny casket that was so beautiful I just could not take my eyes off of it. I began to cry as it rolled away. I thought, in all my haste to get through traffic I was forced to sit still for this moment. God allowed me an opportunity to say good bye to an angel that I did not not know by face nor name. I could feel her sweetness as she passed by. I am so sorry for your loss, the pain you feel at this time pales to nothing I have ever known, But just know that everyone who had a chance to know your angel in person where the luckiest people in the world. I feel honored to have gotten just a moment in her prescence.

May God keep you close and my deepest prayers will go out to you (MoM and Dad) of this angel.

I greeted Maya every morning when she came into school. I will miss seeing her sweet face and spending time with her. May God bless you and your family to have strength through this a most difficult time. I would like to dedicate this poem to you.

A Little Reminder

(In loving memory of Maya)

I was a child born

Brand new

Here from heaven

to learn from you

How to love

How to play

How to handle the darkest days

Sometimes I made mistakes

and you let me know that was okay

Although I have gone home to my Father,

don't cry Mama, I'm still here

Brand new

To remind you

How to love

How to play

How to handle your darkest days

How to live God's way

I'll be waiting for you.

Here is a Pome for the family.

ON THE WINGS OF PRAYER

Just Close your eyes and open your heart

And feel your worries and cares depart,

Just yield yourself to the Father above

And let Him hold your secure in His love,

For the heart is a temple when God is there

As we place ourselves in his loving care,

And when he hears our prayers by answering each one

We pray in His name "Thy Will Be Done"

And the burdens that seemed to heavy to bear

Are lifted away on

"The Wings of Prayer"

An angel so beautifully disguised she was....

Sent to us just because...

The Lord knew we needed a hand...

So he sent Miss Maya with his master plan...

To help us straighten out our life...

To do away with all the pain and strife...

And once he knew her job was done...

He returned her back to heaven boasting the victory was won...

Although her job on earth seems over...

From Heaven she will always be watching over you Earska Jr. & Rosita...
