First and foremost, my condolences to the family. Even though I have moved on in life, I still made short visits to Whitcomb to see someone that I have always considered a real friend. I was saddened by the news of your passing - but as I sit here reminiscing about the old days, I envy you, as you are in a much better place. Nothing is forever so enjoy it while you can.

Much love - my brother.

Mo:

Well it's been three days now and I am still reviewing your memories over the net. You should be just settling in now. Could you tell my little brother, I said what's up! He will be there to show you around. Just another one of "Gods" precious gifts. So, now you will be a special part of the golden gates to. Memorial day will never be the same when you don't have the ones that makes you smile with you. Hold a place for me up there. I will see all of my peeps someday soon again. Until then.

Always,

Licia:)

Melvin:

Looking around, it looks like everyone before me has said it all. I was telling Marlon how I remember you, he and I just sitting around laughing and cracking jokes on each other, or whoever walked past us at any given moment. It was always fun being around you man, from the Whitcomb Ct. childhood days, through Thompson Middle and JFK HS. Sorry I couldn't make it to your service. Sadly, I was back in town to bury my god-sister today. I wish I could have been able to say my final goodbyes to you face to face. RIP Mo-Link....

Sometimes in life you run across people that have an effect on you. As the years go by sometimes you do not realize how much you cherish your friendships, that is until they are gone. Mo-link was a very good friend that I did not see that often, but when we did see each other we talked for hours. I know that this sounds selfish, but I wish that I could have stopped and kicked it with him one more time. I offer my sincere condolences to his family. Much love from a fellow Kougar basketball player!!!!!!

With deepest sympathy to the family,

I have known Melvin from middle school up until we graduated together. It saddens me that he is gone physically. Its strange how life goes, I always saw Melvin outside smiling, joking and just simply relaxing with his boyz in the neighborhood where my grandparents live. The last time I saw Melvin was around Tue/Wed of last week in his normal spot but I was in too big of a rush to stop & talk (thinking I would see him again) and now hes gone. Now I find myself riding by still hoping to see & hear him call out my name. The most comforting thought now is that I know he is in a much better place. Until me meet again.....

Missing you, Kandy

I still can't believe it. Even though we didn't keep in touch as much as we would have liked to, I still feel that closeness that we shared long ago. I'm ok with the fact that your spirit has gone to a peaceful place. Continue to smile like you always do. I've never forgotten about you all these years, and I never will. We had some good times at JFK, and I will never forget them. My deepest condolences to the Smith Family.
