Michael Arrighi Obituary

Michael John Arrighi

March 23, 1958 - January 16, 2025

Michael J. Arrighi, left us peacefully. He was a remarkable leader, and a cherished friend to so many.

A proud graduate of Benedictine, Mike's values of discipline, courage, and service were instilled early in his life and became the foundation for a career dedicated to safeguarding others.

At the Richmond Police Department he served with distinction as a patrolman and was a founding member of the SWAT Team.

At Capital One Mike founded the company's Corporate Security Department, establishing a global standard for excellence. Pub friends will never forget the camaraderie, laughter, and fine times shared during those memorable days.

Mike's career led him to work in corporate and private security in the Middle East, traveling through Iraq and Afghanistan. He completed his career as Chief Safety Officer for VCU's School of the Arts in Qatar.

He was a credited producer on the film More Than Miyagi: The Pat Morita Story, a project that brought him joy and pride.

His friendships were lifelong bonds, filled with adventures and stories that will be cherished forever.

He is survived by his wife, Karen, and his niece, Kate Donovan Staples, his odson Carey Lewis and a circle of friends who were more like family. Mike's presence, his courage, and his friendship will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

"Off to the next adventure".

Rest easy, Mike. By.

Mike was my brother. We were at Numaniyah Iraq. He always had my back. It was a bond that would last a lifetime. Two cops, far from home. His laughter, upbeat personality were infectious. I love you brother, rest in eternal peace.
