Michael Bishop Obituary
January 23, 1945 - March 23, 2025
Michael Danny Bishop, 80, of Powhatan, VA, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2025. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Rick Bishop and Jamie Bishop (Sandy). Mike is survived by his children, Kimberly Bridges (Robert), Christopher Bishop (Tiffany), Craig Bishop, Erin Booth (Jordan), and Laura Sumner (Jim); his brother, Mark Bishop (Wanda); and eight beautiful grandchildren. He is also survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Christy Bishop.
Mike was happiest when outdoors and loved fishing on the Shenandoah River. He was an avid hunter, a former president of Five Forks Hunt Club, and a Little League baseball coach.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Salisbury Presbyterian Church (13621 West Salisbury Rd, Midlothian, VA 23113), with reception to follow.
