Michael honorably served in the 101st Airborne Division during the Iraq War. He had a passion for cooking and a love for archery. Michael will be greatly missed and will be kept lovingly in our hearts.

The first time I met Michael, him and his partner of close to a decade invited me to the most lovely thanksgiving with all of their chosen family. It immediately became tradition and I am so lucky to have spent the majority of my holidays the last 3 years with such a loving little family. I loved being able to be nerdy with Michael, playing magic (and losing of course) and talking about recent advances in science - having debates about everything and nothing all at once by the fireplace of his many homes through the past couple of years. My heart goes out to his partner and her sister to whom Michael meant so indescribably much. Thank you for inviting me to this last family gathering in Virginia, the duck was cooked to perfection and I´m happy you were the one to get me to watch Les Miserables. I wish you could have gotten to show me Rocky Horror picture show.

I am so sorry to hear that he has passed. He was such a strong and caring man, and the way he loved Autumn showed me what true love looked like. I hope he and Zhar are having fun exploring the afterlife together.
