Nancy Gauldin Obituary
March 5, 1946 - January 25, 2025
Nancy (Joyner) Gauldin, age 78, formerly of Warfield, VA, passed away peacefully at her home in Glen Allen on January 25, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 30 years, Marshall Wade Gauldin; her parents, Percy Clyde Joyner and Pearl Jarratt Joyner; and her siblings, Dempsey Joyner and Frances Draper. Nancy graduated from Southampton High School in 1964, Grace Hospital School of Nursing in 1967, and Nurse Practitioner Programs in 1976 and 1981. She practiced as a Nurse Practitioner for more than 30 years, caringly serving the communities via several institutions including the Virginia State Department of Health, Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia, Planned Parenthood, and Poplar Springs Hospital. She had a passion for cooking and sewing. She is survived by children Alissa Nashwinter (Bill), Beverly Brown (Matt), and Christopher Gauldin (Douglas James); grandchildren Taylor Butler (Oliver), Libby Loving (Rhett), Emily Powers (Matt), and Mary Lowe (Daniel); great-granddaughters Aubrey Butler, Katherine and Amy Powers, and Evelyn Lowe; great-grandsons William Butler, Everett Loving, and Gordon Lowe; best friend Diane Woerner, as well as a niece and two nephews.
A celebration of life service will be conducted at Williams Funeral Home & Crematory of Lawrenceville at 3 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2025, followed by interment in the church graveyard at Ebenezer Community Church, 242 Ebenezer Road, Warfield, VA 23889. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. A reception in the church fellowship hall will follow the interment. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospital Alumnae Association or the MCV Foundation. Kiss your mom & hug a nurse! Condolences may be expressed at www.williamsfuneralhomeva.com.
