Nancy Paulette Obituary

PAULETTE, Nancy Joan, 64 years old, born June 27, 1957 to February 3, 2022.

It is with our deep sadness that Nancy Joan Paulette of Dinwiddie, Va., went to be with our Lord on Thursday, February 3, 2022. Nancy was a beloved wife to Rick Paulette for 26 years, a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She was a nana to her great-niece, Kaitlyn, whom she raised and loved with all her heart. She was a fun-loving, witty, loyal friend and a loving person with a personality that would light up the room. She made friends with everyone and no one was a stranger - you didn't have to be blood to be part of the family. She found humor in everything and no job was too big to handle or an obstacle she couldn't overcome. People would say that she was a lot of dynamite in a little package. She was a faithful patriot who loved God and her country. Nancy also loved the beach, her friends and most of all, her family. She would move heaven and earth when it came to helping others. Nancy was loved by so many and will be missed by all. Nancy graduated from Havelock High School in Havelock, N.C. and worked at Philip Morris for 26 years, where she touched many lives and gained many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, John "Rick" Paulette on January 27, 2022; her brother, Geoffrey Waldo; father, Kenneth Waldo; and stepfather, Patrick O'Brien. She is survived by her mother, Mary P. McGrath of New Bern, N.C.; sisters, Barbara Montemayor and husband, Pete, of Houston, Texas and Patricia Magee of New Bern, N.C.; brother, Charles Waldo and wife, Cindy, of Newport, N.C.; uncles, J. Thomas McGrath and Joseph McGrath, of Richmond, Va. and William McGrath of Carthage, Tenn.; aunt, Denise Flannery of Maryland; two nieces, Amanda Sprouse of Havelock, N.C. and Samantha Wild and husband, Matthew, of League City, Texas; four great-nieces, Kaitlyn of Richmond, Va., Audrey of League City, Texas, Asia and London of Havelock, N.C.; and one great-nephew, Ethan of League City, Texas. Nancy is now with her husband, Rick and together, they will be guardian angels to all of those they loved.

Until we meet again. We love you.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Va. 23834. Burial of cremated remains will take place at a later date. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.

"For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."
