Nancy Walker Obituary
Born in Chillicothe, Mo., on November 3, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Davis and Frances Fee.
She retired from Verizon as a Draftsman.
In her younger days, she enjoyed dancing and sewing. More recently, she enjoyed reading historical books and researching genealogy. She also enjoyed visiting with her many wonderful friends and neighbors in Battery Heights Condominiums, where she lived for over 20 years.
She will be remembered for her love of animals and her love of her many grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren.
She is survived by four children, Suzan Spurlin, Greg Walker (Reinaldo), Beth Finzel (Tim Thiel) and Kim Jennings (Dave); 10 grandchildren, Alaina Walker, Kevin and Brendan Stringham, J.D. Walker, Stephanie Nalls, Susie Rogers, Kenny and Todd Finzel, Sara Unger and Garrett Jennings; 12 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; and her much loved sister, Linda Proffitt (Hubert).
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Vicki Jo Walker; and husbands, Ernest P. Walker and William D. "Bill" Hughes.
Nancy requested her body be donated to the Virginia State Anatomical Program for medical research.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to your local animal shelter.
