Nell Sorter Williamson

Nell Sorter Williamson, 79, of Victoria, Va., widow of Stanley Murray Williamson, died October 27, 2002. She is survived by her son and his wife, Steven G. and Sarah A. Williamson of Medina, Ohio; one sister, Betty Reaves of Anderson, Alabama. Mrs.. Williamson was a retired clerk with the U.S. Postal Service. She was a Sunday School teacher at the Victoria Baptist Church for over fifty years and served on many of the church committees. She was also a former secretary for the American Red Cross, a member of the American Cancer Society, a member of American Legion Post 102 Auxiliary and the Lunenburg County VFW Post 9954 Auxiliary. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Staples Funeral Home, Victoria, where funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 30, 11 a.m. with interment at Lakeview Cemetery in Victoria.
