Otis Williams Obituary

Otis David Williams, Jr.

Otis David "Q" Williams, Jr., passed away peacefully at age 66 on January 10, 2026. Q was surrounded by friends and family. Q is survived by his wife of 30 years, Patricia Williams. In addition, he is survived by his sisters, Nancy (Pete) Sturm and Joyce Crum, and nephews Bobby (Patty) Crum and Billy (Sara) Crum. Other family members include his sister-in-law, Carol Parsons; nieces, Vicki (Nate) Grubaugh and Jacki (Sam) Vaselich; four great-nieces; two great-nephews; and his cousin, Butch Williams. Q lived and worked to travel. He was proud of visiting all 50 states and traveled internationally. Q was a lifetime member of the Virginia Jaycees. Q and Pat met through the Jaycees, and it was a match made in heaven with their mutual love of travel and adventure. Q was kind and generous to all. He was incredibly intelligent and enjoyed studying space exploration and ancient aliens. Q was a long-time employee of Estes International Express Lines. A special shout out goes to friends of Pat and Q, known as "The Sister Wives of Avenue Q," for their decades of love and devotion. Pat gives her heartfelt thanks to all who helped her and Q during his illness. Q is with the stars in heaven now on his celestial adventure. Funeral and burial arrangements are private. A celebration of Q's life will be held this spring.

My 2 brothers and sister and I grew up on Kenwood Avenue for about 13 wonderful years with David. He could drink a two liter Pepsi and burp for the longest time. He was the best friend we had on the block. We are devastated to hear that he has passed and can only wish Patricia our deepest condolences and prayers.
