Page Rogers Gordon

1935 - 2023

GORDON, Page Rogers, of Goochland, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023. He was born in 1935, the son of Annie Powell Gordon and Louie Valentine Gordon Sr. Page was preceded in death by his sisters, Eloise Gordon Pennington, Anne Gordon Neblett; and his brother, Louis Valentine Gordon Jr. He is survived by his wife, Peggy; son, Scott (Carter); grandchildren, Emily and Catherine "Cate"; niece, Norma Anne Neblett Roadcap; nephews, Curtis, Pennington, Louis "Jiggs," William "Billy" and Michael Gordon. Page grew up in Henrico and graduated from Hermitage High School in 1954. Following high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served for two years in Germany in HQ Battery 224th AAA Group. Following his military service, he worked for 15 years as Service Manager for W.A. Yoder, a local audio-visual company and for over 20 years as Audio-Visual Director at V.C.U. During this time, he also ran his own audio-visual repair and installation company. An avid gardener, Page's other interests included boating, volunteering with Boy Scout Troop 776 and photography. He was a charter and lifelong member of the Goochland County Historical Society. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 7, 2023 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond, Va. 23229. A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 8, 2023 at 2 p.m. in Westhampton Memorial Park, 10000 Patterson Ave., Richmond, Va. 23238.
