Patricia "Pat" Barrett

Mrs. Patricia Corinne "Pat" Barrett, also known as "MeMaw," passed away, Friday, December 12, 2025. She was born in Des Plaines, Ill., in 1944 and would have celebrated her 82nd birthday on January 15, 2026.

Pat is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph A. and Adeline L. Kostanski and is predeceased by her only brother, Mr. Robert J. Koststanski. She is also predeceased by her only son, Mr. Mark David Barrett.

Pat is survived by her husband of 58 years Mr. John David Barrett; her only daughter, Mrs. Michele Corinne Morris; her one and only favorite son-in-law, Mr. Keith Allen Morris; three grandsons, Mr. Chance Allen Morris (Valarie), Mr. Tye Allen Morris, Reece Dixon Barrett, and one great-grandson, Crue Allen Morris (Chance & Valarie).

Pat was employed by Bliley's Funeral Homes for nearly 30 years and remained a dedicated employee up until September 2025.

Pat was a member of The Church of the Epiphany. She enjoyed working, spending time at Sting Ray Point, reading, working in the yard, reading the newspaper, doing crossword puzzles, spending time with her dogs, Candy and Riley, going to the pool, and supporting the Washington Redskins.

Through her brief and unexpected illness, she always continued to "take one day at time," and she would want everyone to know who was close and dear to her that, "This Too Shall Pass."

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday, December 19, 2025, at The Church of the Epiphany, 11000 Smoketree Dr., N. Chesterfield, VA 23235, where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 p.m. Private interment will be at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the ASPCA, SPCA, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospital International.
