Pauline Helen Dutile

1930 - 2023

DUTILE, Pauline Helen, 92, passed away peacefully at Sunrise Villa Tuckahoe on February 22, 2023, with loved ones by her side. Waiting in heaven to greet her were her parents, Ruth Blanchard and Paul Lescard; husband, Arthur Dutile; daughter, Susan Sharp; son, Joseph Dutile; grandson, Jason Yetzer; and husband, Joseph Diersen Jr. She was the matriarch of five generations, all of whom will miss her greatly. Surviving her are daughters, Marie Parker (Bob), Vickie Barnes, both of Richmond, and Roberta Chilcoat of Urbanna; grandchildren, Jason Parker (Karen), Nicole Parker Fore (Jason Sell), Heather Forrest, Emily Yetzer-Jones (Anne); great-grandchildren, Tara Broom (Justin), Parker Fore, Michael Fore, Abigail Forrest, Meredith Forrest and Reid Yetzer; great-great grandsons, Cooper, Lane and Bowie Broom; brother, Victor Lescard (Penny) of Sebring, Fla. Pauline was born December 12, 1930 in Dracut, Mass. She graduated from Dracut High School, where she played basketball and was a cheerleader. She loved her high school years and made many lifelong friendships. After marrying Arthur, they quickly welcomed two daughters. They left Dracut for Lewiston, Maine, where they added two more daughters and a son. Arthur's job moved the family again to Dayton, Ohio before landing in Richmond. The family quickly adopted Richmond as home. After 45 years of marriage, Arthur passed away. A few years later Pauline married Joe Diersen, an old friend and widower with seven children. Pauline was active in Y-Wives, M&M's Investment Group, St. Mary's Catholic Church and Hermitage Country Club. She enjoyed golf, bowling, Mahjong, family, and neighborhood gatherings, and most of all, shopping for and with her girls. She loved all her family fiercely and unconditionally, and she was loved and cherished by all. The family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to Sunrise Villa Tuckahoe and Serenity First Hospice. Pauline formed many attachments to the staff of each, as they did with her. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
