Peg Kava Obituary

KAVA, Mrs. Peg Grosch, 80, of Bohannon, Va., passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021. Peg was born on February 1, 1941, and raised in Hopewell, Va., by her parents, Paul and Pearl Grosch. In 1963, she graduated with a degree in Business Education from Longwood College in Farmville, Va. In Peg's early professional career, she was a teacher in Petersburg, Va. Later, she worked for many years as a realtor for Ingram and Associates in Chester, Va., before retiring to her dream home in Bohannon, Va. Peg loved to spend time boating and gardening. When not outdoors, she could be found enjoying her coffee and puzzles while gazing out at the beautiful East River from her sunroom windows. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Paul Kava; and her daughter, Teresa; and survived by her daughter, Angela (Curtis); her son, Brian (Denise); her son, Chris; and five grandchildren, Brooks, Tessa, Sarah, Connor and Abby; and her beloved dog, PJ. We invite all friends and family to celebrate her life by making a donation in her name to the Alzheimer's Association.

My sincere sympathy goes to the family. We were next door neighbors in Chester and were active in the goings on around town. I thought of Peggy and Paul often.
