Peggy Johnston Obituary

Peggy T. Johnston

Peggy T. Johnston, 95, of Richmond, Va., passed away peacefully after a brief illness on December 26, 2025.

Born on June 27, 1930, in Baltimore, Md., she was the daughter of the late Gladys and John Totty.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Llewellyn Johnston. Peggy is lovingly remembered by her children, Martin Johnston of Glen Allen, Va., and Jacquelyn Curran (Frank) of Annapolis, Md.; her grandchildren, Adam (Paulette), Wyatt (Jill) Johnston, and Allyson Curran; her great-grandchildren, Emma and Jonah Johnston; and her cherished grand-dog, Lucie Lu. Her greatest legacy is the love she poured into her family.

She lived a long, full life marked by kindness, humor, and a deep love for animals. Anyone who knew her knew how passionately she believed in rescue and adoption-she gave so many pets a second chance, and they gave her so much joy in return.

Before retiring, Peggy enjoyed a successful career as a marketing director for several shopping centers and malls throughout the Richmond area, where her creativity, professionalism, and warm spirit left a lasting impression.

The family wishes to thank the nurses and support staff of Traditions Health of Richmond and the many compassionate caregivers who provided such meaningful comfort and care.

A celebration of Peggy's life will be held at Christ Methodist Church located at 6818 W Grace Street, Richmond, VA 23226 on Saturday, March 21st, at 1:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to the Richmond SPCA an organization that reflects her heart and values.
