Philip Pedlow Obituary

PEDLOW, Philip Heindel, 94, of Richmond, VA, passed away on April 8, 2024. Phil was born in York, PA, and is preceded in death by his parents, John Thomas, and Anna Marie. He is survived by his wife, Franda, of 69 years, sons Del (Wynne) and Tom, daughter Alyson, grandsons Philip III and Myles, granddaughter Amanda, and three great-grandchildren. Phil grew up in Orono, ME, graduated from Wesleyan University, and earned his MBA from UNC. While serving in the Army in Germany, he met the love of his life! Their final move was to Richmond in 1976 where he eventually retired from NationsBank. He was a Board Member at Henricus Historical Park. He loved to play tennis, snow ski, travel, and spend time with his family. Special memories were made during numerous trips to Holden Beach, Maine, England, and Vail...and while watching UNC Basketball- Go HEELS! We will think of him each time we crack open a lobster, hear Big Band music, or catch an episode of Andy Griffith, Lawrence Welk, or MASH! His sense of humor, his smile, and his kindness will be missed by many. A private service will be held this summer.

Franda, Alyson and wider family circle. I am sorry to learn of Philip's death. I often think of the brief meeting that my brother Jim and I had with you in the Seagoe Hotel, Portadown, Co Armagh. It's hard to believe that is around 25 years ago. All my love, Muriel Girvan nee Pedlow.
