Phyllis Putze Obituary

Phyllis Adeline Worrell Putze

Phyllis Adeline Worrell Putze peacefully went to be with the Lord on November 25, 2025. Born on August 4, 1936 in Richmond VA, Phyllis was the only child of Louis and Julina Worrell. Phyllis was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and gigi, who loved more than anything spending time with her family. Her family enjoyed every opportunity to be with her to laugh, love and enjoy spending time together. She loved spending time at the beach with her family. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband, Casey P. Putze, Jr. She is survived by her two children, Mark Putze and Marion Powers (Jim). Phyllis is also survived by her grandchildren, Michelle, Melissa, Autumn, Carly and Drue. She has six great grandchildren. All of her family experienced her love and knew without doubt she was their biggest champion. The family would like to thank Suncrest Hospice (Karen & Dominique, Eunsung & Zach), Autumn Care and Harmony At Hanover for their care.

Visitation will be held 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, December 8, 2025, at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Road, where funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2025. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org, will be gratefully accepted.

Phyllis was one of the kindest, soft-spoken woman I’d ever met. I remember dinners at her home many years ago; with her children, and her mom. It was never a dull moment - and the fool was always delicious. I pray she’s at peace now with her Heavenly Father, her mom, and beloved husband!
