Ralph Fabian MacDonald Jr.

MacDONALD, Ralph Fabian Jr., a retired executive with the American Tobacco Co., passed away at his home in Stoneville, N.C., while surrounded by his family on September 28. He was 77. Born on January 27, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois, Mr. MacDonald was the son of Dr. Ralph Fabian and Catherine Bacigalupo MacDonald. He graduated from Sewanee Military Academy and the University of Virginia. Mr. MacDonald served as a captain in the United States Marine Corps. During his 34 year business career, he was based in Richmond, Virginia, Reidsville, N.C., and New York City. Mr. MacDonald is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jeanne Burckell MacDonald; a daughter, Mary Michele MacDonald of Lexington, Kentucky; and a son, Ralph Fabian MacDonald III; his wife, Nancy Rogers MacDonald; and three grandchildren, Ralph Fabian MacDonald IV, Thomas William MacDonald, and Michael Hudson MacDonald, all of Atlanta, Georgia. Fair Funeral Home, Eden, North Carolina, is assisting with arrangements.
