Raymond James Obituary
Raymond Donald James, 85, went home to the Lord on December 2, 2025. He was the son of the late Annabelle Henley and Raymond James.
Donnie, as his friends knew him, grew up in the Short Pump area in Henrico Virginia and was a member of Shady Grove UMC. Donnie never met a stranger, always offered a helping hand, and would entertain you with his many stories. He was a loving husband, father, and provider.
He leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Peggy James; daughter, Diane Gibson; son, Steven James; daughter-in-law, Denise James; grandchildren, Katelyn Gibson and Steven James, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, December 8, 2025 at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at Westhampton Memorial Park in the Mausoleum.
