Rebecca Coggin Hubert, 64, passed away on December 6 in Richmond, surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her parents, Mary Ames and Rodney Marshall Coggin; her brother, Edward Turner Coggin. She is survived by her brother, Rodney Ames Coggin; her children, Bergen Elizabeth Hubert and Juergen Marshall Hubert; and their father, Richard Stephan Hubert.

Born on January 18, 1961, Rebecca grew up in Warsaw, VA and was shaped by the love of her close-knit family and community. A graduate of St. Margaret's School and Sweet Briar College, she began her career as a travel agent before joining C&F Bank, where she became a beloved colleague known for her kindness, professionalism, and service excellence. Her dedication earned her the President's Award, the company's highest honor.

Rebecca was also deeply committed to her hometown. She served on the Warsaw Planning Commission and was twice elected to the Town Council, contributing to finance, personnel, and economic development initiatives during a key period of revitalization.

Rebecca was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved sports, news, weather, travel and her dachshund, Bear. She faced cancer for nearly three decades with remarkable courage and grace. The outpouring of love since her passing reflects the warmth and impact she had on others.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 20, at St. John's Episcopal Church, Warsaw, VA, with a reception following at Warsaw Town Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Richmond County Animal Shelter, Warsaw, VA.
