I worked with Richard for many years at the county. He was such a nice man, willing to help anyone who needed it.

It is easy to see that Don Glenn was a person of bedrock status for his family and friends. His life was the solid layer of rock underneath the soil and sediment, under the dirt and grind of each of our everyday lives. Over the multiple decades of knowing him and the Glenn family, I've come to view him as the deepslate Emerald for those he loved and cared for on a daily basis. He was like the sandstone and dolomite bedrock containing aquifers which provided groundwater for many, offering a cool drink when hot and a helping hand when in distress.
If I had to draw a parallel to Don in the flower world, I'd say he was a sunflower, always standing tall and straight, in the background, a symbol of joy and positivity.
If I had to compare Don to an animal it would be a sheep dog as he possessed the protective instincts for those under his care.
And if you wanted me to compare Don to a mountain, I'd have to say Integrity as it is a mountain with no top, and the climbers come to realize there is no end to the process as you climb upward.
But Don was no flower, or dog, or mountain.
He was an ordinary man with extraordinary value as he was first and foremost a child of God. He served the Lord throughout his life with grace, fortitude, consistency, and common sense. He took each challenge and obstacle as an opportunity to show that God never forsakes His children and each child is of eternal value. Don set us an example of what it means to live under the banner of God's love assuring that each under his care would dwell under God's banner. There are few men that I have had the privilege of knowing that I can say I truly admire, respect, and want to emulate. Don Glenn was one of those men. Prayer: Thank you Lord for letting him stay on earth 87 years. He truly was Your gift to all of us. Amen. Love always, Bevin Hedahl Wyatt
