Robert Haze Goodrich

GOODRICH, Ordained Bishop Robert Haze, 90, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 23, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Carrie Goodrich; his brothers, James, Henry, Teddy and Jamie; sisters, Sarah, Margaret, Peggy, Jeanette and Carrie; and his children, Ella, Steven, Rodney and Roger. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Barbara Goodrich; daughters, Melody Underwood (Jim) and Joy Goodrich; grandchildren, Krystal Sadler (Josh), Keri McCue (Josh), Aaron Goodrich (Grace); seven great-grandchildren, McKayla, Shayne, Caydence and Hayslee Sadler, Madalynn Goodrich and James and Kylie McCue; and sisters, Clarise Cannady (BJ), Daisy White and Lillian Newcomb. Robert served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a forward observer in the Korean War and was a recipient of a Purple Heart. He was a missionary in Panama, the Gilbert Islands, Guatemala and the Philippines and served as a Pastor at several churches. After retiring in Phoenix, Ariz., he lived in North Chesterfield until his death. Visitation will be at Victory Tabernacle Church, 11700 Genito Rd., Midlothian, Va. on Saturday, March 5, from 10 to 11 a.m., with service at 11 a.m. and burial following service at 2 p.m. in Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Farmville, Va.
