Roland Brown Obituary
Roland T. Brown was born on February 2, 1940, in Richmond, Va. He passed away on December 6, 2025. He is preceded in passing by his wife, Ruth Brown; son, Jeff Brown; and grandson, Adam Seymour. He is survived by his children, Beverly Seymour (James), Bryan Brown (Joyce); grandchildren, Nicholas Seymour, Alyson Knight (Dan), Grant Brown, and Merideth Brown; and great grandchild, Sterling Knight-
Roland Brown graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1958. After high school, he honorably served in the Navy from 1960 to 1962. Roland spent 35 years at Dupont primarily as a Data Systems Manager, and after retiring volunteered for 15 years for Motorist Assistance with Chesterfield County Police. Roland was the glue of his family and a socialite; often holding large gatherings for his peers to enjoy. He loved the outdoors and could often be found fishing or in the garden. He was also known for his award-winning pickles.
A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Dale Memorial Park.
Roland was a source of light for all of those around him and will be dearly missed.
