Ronnal Moseley Obituary

Ronnal Moseley

Rev. Ronnal Moseley entered his eternal home on Tuesday October 29, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Diaconate Alexander and Florence Moseley; his brother, Marvin Moseley; and his sister, Syburba Kirby.

Ronnal was the third child born to the late Diaconate Alexander and Florence Moseley. He received Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Tabernacle Baptist church in the "baptizing pond" on Black Road. He was an usher and sang with the Combined Voices of Tabernacle. He was educted in Chesterfield Public Schools. He excelled in basketball and track. He was a premiere athlete. He was a part of the first graduating class from Clover Hill High school in 1973. At that time, they were one of the first integrated student bodies. After graduation he worked at several places, such as Woolco, Hardees, Tarmac, and AMF where he was semi-retired from.

He enjoyed his time with family and friends, always ready to give a word of encouragement and to make you laugh when needed. He was a part of the bowling team for Tabernacle. He was the shortstop for the local baseball team the Chesterfield Braves as well as part of the coaching team for the lady's softball team that Tabernacle had.

He wed in holy matrimony to the former Juanita Harris, they were married for 51 years and was blessed with two children Ronda and Dominique. During this time, he heard the call of God over his life to become a minister. He was ordained here at Tabernacle by Dr. Norwood G. Carson on April 27, 1997. He earned his divinity degree from the Samuel D. Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University on May 16, 1998. He continued to study and took several classes from Liberty University. Ronnal has worked and men's ministry. in several ministries at Tabernacle, usher board, trustee, teacher, and men's ministry.

Wherever Ronnal stepped he left an imprint. He was not just a light, he showed you God's love. Through a kind word, a listening ear, or leaving you with a word of encouragement. He did not always use scripture to get the word of God across, but he planted a seed that he knew was needed. He met you where you were and let God do the rest. All because he knew who God was from the inside out.

He leaves to continue to share the word of God, his wife, Juanita; his children, Ronda and Dominique. His three grandchildren, Alexandria Davis (Maurice), Sydne and D'monté Moseley, who affectionately called him papa; his two great-grandchildren, Maurice Jr. and Majesty Davis who called him papoo. His brother, Gerome (Yvette) Moseley; sister, Prophetess Wanda Moseley; sister-in-law, Anita (Eugene) Sims; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, devoted were Diaconate Clarence and Gwen Epps, Diaconate Robert and Jan Hembrick, and Viola Williams among many others.
