Rosemary Pittman Obituary

PITTMAN, Rosemary H. From Kelly, 79, of Columbia, S.C., died Thursday, November 15, 2007. Born in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Wilson and Madeline Diggs Havenner. She was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority at the University of Maryland, the DAR, and the Virginia Beach Women's Club. Mrs. Pittman was also a 50-year member of the American Dietetic Association. She was a volunteer with the Ronald McDonald House, and was a member of The Holy Family Catholic Church in Virginia Beach, Va. Surviving are her husband, Howard W. Pittman of Columbia; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas P. From II and Leigha of Corte Madeira, Calif.; four daughters and sons-in-law, Roxane R. Barnick and Dr. Vaughn Barnick of Columbia, S.C., Pamela and Tom Conlon of Virginia Beach, Va., Stephanie Bertram of Richmond, Va., and Leslie and Mark Ridgeway of Roanoke, Va.; nine grandchildren, Dezarae, Jamie and Eric Bertram, Matthew and Phillip Goff, Carolyn and Rex Barnick and Timothy and Christopher Ridgeway; three sisters, Carolyn Mullis of Fort Myers, Fla., Johann and Richard Ellerbrake of Lebanon, Illinois, and Elizabeth Courtney of Prince Frederick, Md. She was predeceased by a son, Timothy "Tieg" From. Service for Mrs. Pittman will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Virginia Beach, Va. at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alpha Delta Pi, www.alphadeltapi.org, or to the Ronald McDonald House, 2955 Colonial Drive, Columbia, S.C. 29203.
