Roy Bridges Obituary

BRIDGES, Mr. Roy W., If you asked a hundred people who Roy Bridges was, they'd all give you a different answer: "A professional bowler for the Army"; "A fierce competitor!"; "A gifted craftsman"; "A hard worker and provider"; "A great friend"; "A loving, reliable dad and papa"; "A wonderful partner in life." Roy was all these things and much more. What you might not hear is, "A talented singer!" Nonetheless, he would fearlessly run on stage and karaoke his heart out, his audience in for a fun show. That was how he approached everything in life, fearlessly. And no matter the occasion, he always had a story and he was usually featured as the hero in most of them. He was born in Northern Virginia, August of 1953 and departed May of 2022. A Leo to the core, even in his last moments, he was still raising a ruckus. He is survived by the love of his life, Stephanie; four daughters, Heather, Renee, Michelle, Lori; and 12 grandchildren. He will always be remembered by his family for his tireless love and devotion and by his friends for his giving heart, always ready to help.
