Roy Tisdale Obituary

Departed this life February 23, 2004, Roy Carter Tisdale Sr. of 200 S. Addison Street. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anderson and Elizabeth Tisdale. He was a retired employee of Phillip Morris USA. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Loretta B. Tisdale; one daughter, Jacqueline V. Tisdale; two sons, Roy C. Jr. and Rodney V. Tisdale; seven grandchildren, Allen Gathers, Corey, Channing, Xiamara and Tyla Tisdale, Hope and Jill Adams; one sister, Lucy Douglas; four brothers, James, William, Willie Sr. and Arthur Tisdale; several nieces, nephews and cousins; two daughters-in-law, Teisha J. and Meredith B. Tisdale; one "son-in-law", Kenneth Gathers; nine sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, and other relatives and friends, among them Minister Jacqueline Coleman, the Moore family and Rev. Dr. Eugene Brown. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral Friday 1 p.m. at Grace Institutional Baptist Church, 300 Roanoke Street, where remains will lie in state one hour prior funeral time. Apostle Michael Bennett, pastor, officiating. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Family, friends and organizations assemble at the church 12:45 p.m. Friday.
