Ruby Wallace Obituary

Ruby "Babysis" Brown Wallace, 61, passed away in her sleep after a long battle with multiple sclerosis on Sunday, February 15, 2004. Her parents, Deacon Walter H. Brown Sr. and Dorothy Brooks Brown, preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Deacon Lloyd N. Wallace; her devoted sister and caregiver, Beverley B. Goode; two brothers, Deacon Walter H. Brown Jr. (Margaret), and William L. Brown; two stepdaughters, Debra W. Jones (Michael) and Wanda Wallace; three brothers-in-law, James A. (Beulah), Horace (Julia) and Webster Wallace (LaMarion); sister-in-law, Alice Hayes (Albert); two stepgrandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. The Richmond memorial service will be held Friday, February 20, 11 a.m. at Mimms Funeral Home, 19th and Hull Streets. A second memorial service will be held February 20, 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the St. John Baptist Church, 1397 Penniman Road, Williamsburg, Va. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Ruby B. Wallace Family Scholarship Fund, 103 Valor Court, Williamsburg, Va. 23185.
