Sarah Browder Obituary

BROWDER, Sarah Elizabeth Jackson, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2024 in Glen Allen at the age of 94. She was born on February 17, 1930 in Richmond. Sarah will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and wife. She was a dedicated professional, having worked at Lucent Technologies and Liggett and Myers during her career. Outside of work, she found joy in going on cruises, traveling, gardening, and dancing. Sarah is survived by her daughter, Patricia B. Kelley (Ralph); son, Clarence W. Browder, Jr.; five grandchildren, Trey, David, Carley, Travis, and Kristina; six great grandchildren; and a brother, Joe Jackson. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clarence W. Browder and Alvin Putze.

A service to honor and celebrate Sarah's life, with a period of visitation an hour prior, will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, February 22, 2024. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Enon UMC, 6156 Studley Rd, Mechanicsville, VA 23116. Sarah's warm presence and loving nature will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
