Shannon Pannill Barnette

Shannon Pannill Barnette, 54, of Chesterfield, VA, passed away and entered Heaven on January 1, 2025, after a valiant fight against metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, friend, and confidant to so many within the community. Sweet Shannon is preceded in death by her sister, Christal Lynn Pannill; and her mother and father-in-law, Reva and Vernon Barnette. She is survived by her parents, Anne and Jim Pannill; husband, Wallace Edward Barnette; two daughters, Amber (Patrick) and Megan Pannill (Jason); four grandchildren, Knox Pannill, Keegan Crawley, Ava Clay, and Cannon Crawley; nephew, Keith Reese (Marie); and niece, Marie Barnette.

Shannon retired in 2022 from the Pannill family Insurance Agency, Pannill & Associates Insurance, after twenty-three years running the office.

A lifelong beach enthusiast, Shannon enjoyed spending her time at her condo in Rodanthe, NC, and was often found spending time with her friends and family in the Outer Banks all year long. Shannon's kind, compassionate personality will be deeply missed by so many.

The family will receive friends and loved ones to celebrate Shannon's beautiful life with pictures, stories, and fellowship on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 1 until 5 p.m., at The Reserve Restaurant & Bar at The Highlands.
