Stanley Rustin Obituary

Stanley Jermone "Unk" Rustin joined God on Wednesday, January 21, 2004. He was born in Richmond on July 9, 1955 to the late Halloway and Emma Pleasant Rustin. Stanley attended Armstrong High School in Richmond and was a loyal employee of Ludlow Coated Products until his health failed. Stanley leaves to cherish his memory, a devoted wife, Andrea Rustin; one son, Stanley Rustin Jr.; one daughter, Tomira Rustin; one stepson, Desmond Pamplin (Torrie); four grandchildren; one brother, Sterling Rustin (Fran) of New York City; four sisters, Diane Woolridge of Boston, Mass., Barbara Moore of New York, N.Y., Yvonne Rustin and Sandra Robinson (Larry); two aunts, Lena P. Hubbard and Hazel White; one uncle, Curtis Pleasants; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; four sisters-in-law and spouses, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St., where the family will receive friends Monday, 7 to 8 p.m. Remains will lie in state Tuesday, 11 a.m. at New Deliverance Evangelistic Church, 1701 Turner Rd., where funeral services will be held 12 noon, Bishop Gerald O. Glenn, pastor, officiating. Burial Oakwood Cemetery.
