Stephen Alfred Mann Jr.

MANN, Stephen Alfred, Jr., passed away peacefully in his home in Mechanicsville, Va., early Sunday morning, February 20, 2022, in the presence of his wife and daughter. He was 73. Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Mann; and father, Stephen Mann. He is survived by his wife, Martha Sue Mann; daughter, Hollie Sue Mann; sister, Cynthia Mann Brennan; and two grandchildren, Olive Lea Mann and Jonah Lea Mann. Steve was a devoted husband of 53 years and a loving father; he enjoyed a long and storied career as a police officer with Henrico County; he was an avid runner in his younger years and lover of music and westerns in his older years. He loved talking with friends and family and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all. Family and friends will be received at Bliley's Funeral Home on Augusta Avenue, this Thursday, from 5 to 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Bliley's on Friday at 10 a.m. The service will also be livestreamed; link can be found on the Bliley's website. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ChildFund, an organization that Steve generously supported throughout his life, Trinity Health at Home, the organization that helped to care for Steve in his final days and the American Cancer Society.
