Susan 'Becky' Cooley

Becky died peacefully on March 15, 2025. She was born in Lynchburg, VA, to the Rev. William Emory and Madelle Fullen Cooley. They preceded her in death as did her sister, Caroline Halstead. During her life, she lived in Amherst, VA, Maine, Ohio, Okinawa, and Richmond, VA. Becky graduated from John Marshall High School and attended Longwood College. She was an administrative assistant at St. Mary's Hospital. She retired as the executive assistant for Lowe, Brockenbrough & Co. in Richmond. Surviving Becky is her niece, Leah Noce; and grandnephews, Cole and Jack Noce; and her brother, Dr. William Cooley (Janella); her niece, Rev. Angela Bulhof (Hanno); and nephews, Wes Cooley (Susie), Jim Cooley (Christina); and grandnephews and niece, Justin, James, and Roger Bulhof, Will, Sara, Sam, Emory, Ronin and Rafferty Cooley. Becky had a zest for life! Her infectious laugh, love, and friendship will live on in family and friends! Our lives were enriched with Becky in them.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
