Suzanne Rutledge Obituary

Suzanne M Rutledge

January 6, 1944 - July 22, 2024

Suzanne Rutledge died peacefully on July 22, 2024, preceded by her loving life-long partner, Patricia F. Noble and survived by her daughter, Carroll R. Joines (Lindsay) and her son, Hile Rutledge (Jessie). Suzanne is also survived by four grandchildren: Robert Joines (Brianna), Katherine Ramsey, and Whitten and Archer Rutledge. As well as four great-grandchildren: Atticus, Finnegan, and Cooper Joines, and Lillian Ramsey.

Suzanne was educated at NC State and Longwood Universities.

In life, Suzanne was most proud of the help she was to others, her ability to always see potential in people and things, the businesses she made successful, and the many animals she saved and loved over her 80 years of life. In lieu of flowers, Suzanne requested that donations be made in her memory to the Richmond area ASPCA or your local animal shelter.

I think about Suzanne so often. So many times over the past year I have thought, " I need to call Suzanne and Pat" and then I remember that they are no longer here to call. However I do feel their spirit.
