Ted Elliott, 90, of Jetersville, VA, passed away peacefully at home on December 11, 2025. Born December 23, 1934, he was the eldest of Johnnie U. and Fronnie West Elliott's children. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Thea, Paul, Maggie, Lois, Ruth, Daisy, and Mac. He is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years, Barbara Carter Elliott; and his children, Barry Elliott, Michele Elliott, Jan Pollock (John), and Jill Brinkley (Charlie). He adored his seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Ted is also survived by his brother, John Elliott, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Ted worked at Alleghany Warehouse Company in Richmond for 37 years and another eight years at Longwood in Farmville. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and his hobbies included hunting, fishing, gardening, and piddling in his garage. Ted had a love for his Lord Jesus and was a dedicated member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, trustee, and member of the cemetery committee for many years. A Celebration of Life service was held on December 17th at Sandy Creek Baptist Church. A private burial will be at a later date.
