Thomas Harrison "Tom" Thornton, Sr., 94, of Richmond, VA went to be with Our Lord on Tuesday, December 23rd, 2025.
Tom is predeceased by his beloved wife of 62 years, Barbara Caravati Thornton.
He is survived by his sons, Tom Thornton, Jr. (Rangeley), and John C. Thornton (Pam); daughters, Mary Ann Jackson (Reese), Elizabeth Gill (Tim), Patti Williamson (Allen), and Leslie Schall (Ted); nine grandchildren, Timmy, Jack, Caroline, Isabella, Lacee, Charlie, Michael, Sienna and Thomas; and one great grandchild, Noah.
Tom's faith and his family were most important to him. Always a gentleman, his compassion and love touched everyone who knew him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 2nd, 2025 at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 2700 Dolfield Dr., North Chesterfield, VA 23235. A reception will follow the service. A private Catholic burial will be held for the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial contributions to be made in Tom's honor to The Family Foundation (https://www.familyfoundation.org/contribute).
