I just heard of T.A's death from my sister, Polly Adkins. I didn't see him often but I will miss him - such a friendly, jolly sweet person. My sympathy to the family, especially Betty Jane, my Hollins classmate.

Mr. Kerns was a fine lawyer, as well as a fine gentleman. It was always a pleasure to share a few thoughts with him when I would see him at the Allen's Reception at the VTLA conventions. My deepest sympathies to his family.

I am deeply saddened with the news of Uncle TA. There has never been a kinder soul. He treasured his family above all else. I know that Kent, Jac, Virginia, and TA are having a fine time together again. My love goes out to Betty, Anne, Cindy, Trent and Betty Jane.
Love,

To Trent and Family

I am so very sorry to hear about your Father, "Uncle TA", as we used to call him. He has always been a man that my family has considered as much more than a friend; he was 'family'. We cherished
your Father so much, and we have had sweet memories throughout the years of how kind, loving, and gentle your Father truly was.
He has always been in our hearts and prayers, and always will be.

There was no one like him, nor will there ever be. We share in your deep sorrow, and will be praying for you and all of your family during this time of great loss. We also feel that loss, as you well know; but his kind and gentle nature will be with us forever, along with the beautiful memories.

He was a great Man, Trent, and taught so much to so many. He taught that which was only good; to be good to others and love one another. And a great man we all will miss; we are family, as you know throughout these years.

In "our" sorrow I write this,
And with our 'heartfelt' prayers to you and your family,

Kathy,
and Judge Jimmy and Barbara (Wilkinson), Christy, and Jebbie

We are always here for you and your family...we are family.

My heartfelt sympathy to the family during this time of sorrow. "T.A." was truly a gentleman in every aspect. I had the pleasure of meeting "T.A." in the 60's as I was a clerk in the Police Court, City of Richmond. He always had a smile and something nice to say. May God bless each of you during your loss. My prayers and thoughts are extended to you.
