Vera Mise Obituary

Vera M. Mise, 65, born in Danville, VA, went to be with the Lord peacefully on January 30th, joining her Mom and Dad, and all her other loved ones that preceded her in death including her pets, Alicia and Maggie.

Vera struggled for years with many medical issues but is now whole again and free from the pain she suffered here on earth. She will be greatly missed by her loving family: sisters, Dale Mise, Leigh Mise, Earline Brown (Steve), Jayne Sharp (Craig); nephew, Matthew Sharp (Leah); niece Megan Sharp Moore (Preston); and great nieces Evelyn and Lillian Sharp; and by her many great friends. Vera, longtime resident of Richmond, worked at Anthem for over 30 years, and was active in several Baptist churches.

She loved her mountain vacations and visiting her family in NC. A celebration of life will be held at Berea Baptist Church, 15421 Pouncey Tract Road, Rockville, VA on February 19th at 3 pm.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Vera's memory to the American Diabetes Association or Berea Baptist Church.

I read this with sadness as I remember my coworker from Blue Cross. We had fun together at work and a few times after work. She was the sweetest person I've ever met.

I went to high school with Vera. She was a sweet and shy person. I haven't seen Vera since high school but recognized her from the photo immediately. Condolences to the family and friends. Peace without pain now.
