Vernelle Davis Myers Nelson
NELSON, Vernelle Davis Myers, age 101, of Richmond, passed away January 11, 2021. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wellford R. Myers Sr.; and second husband, Charles H. Nelson; sons, Wellford R. Jr. and Kevin B. Myers; and granddaughter, Jill Jenkins Bowles. Surviving are five daughters, Gwendolyn Jordan (Milton), Vernelle Robinson (Frederick), Kaye Wood Brown (Montford), Annie Ross (Donald) and Merle Taylor; son, Carlton Myers (Janet); daughter-in-law, Eleanor W. Myers; 12 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where viewing will be held Sunday, January 17, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Graveside services will be private at Roselawn Memory Gardens.
