Vernon King Obituary
Vernon E. King, 91, of Midlothian, VA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. He is preceded in death by his wives, Ruth C. King, Rose B. King and Louise F. King; brother, Harry; and sister, Marion. Vernon is survived by his son, Brian V. King (Carla); grandchildren, Campbell, Madison (Jesse), and Caleb; brother, Jay; lifelong friend, Barbara Nunnally; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many loving relatives and friends. Vernon retired as an engineer from the Virginia Department of Transportation after 30 years. He was most proud of his military service with the US Army 80th Division, retiring after 38 years as a Sergeant Major.
A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, November 25, 2024, at Bliley's- Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Road. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2024. at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 4101 Fordham Road, with a reception to follow. I just found out that Vernon had passed, I am sold for your lost. Vernon was a wonderful man that was loved by all and I am glad I got to know him.we did talk on the phone at times. I know you will miss him. Margaret Howard
