William Dyson Obituary

DYSON Colonel (Ret.) William E. Dyson, passed away August 28, 2006 at Southside Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. He was born November 30, 1930, the son of the late Daniel Dyson and Nina Hill Dyson. On September 15, 1955 he married Frances Nanette Ramsey who predeceased him after a long and happy marriage. She is buried in Arlington National Cemetery. Colonel Dyson was also predeceased by his brother, Daniel Dyson Jr. He is survived by a number of first cousins with whom he had a particularly close relationship. Colonel Dyson was a graduate of Dinwiddie High School and Virginia Tech, where he attained a number of honors. He made the Army his career and served for a period of 28 years. He served actively in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars and received a number of citations for outstanding service. He was a member of Prospect Christian Church in Dinwiddie County. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2006, beside his lovely wife, Nanette. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com

Oh,how I will miss you and our Sunday excursions tracking down our family relations. When you get to heaven and find out how and when Nicholas Dyson got to the new land, please let me know. Thanks for the memories of good times.
